First Freestyle Greco Tournament this weekend
I went to Alexander for the first tournament this weekend.
It had that great low key feel of Spring wrestling, with kids getting plenty of matches and working out the kinks of adjusting to FS/G techniques, and strategies.
I saw 3 5 point throws and some great matches. I watch these young wrestlers that compete in FS/G and see how they improve.
If you have some time in between all the other sports try to go to one of these events. As a coach I really like these 2 events better then folkstyle. You can watch State champions get dominated by wrestlers you never heard of before.
Team GA is given free practices I would like to see a few of our wrestlers attend.

Harry Lester Camp June 14-17
Harry Lester will be doing a 4 day intensive camp at Roswell Highschool June 14-17th. This will be a great opportunity as a prep camp going into the Militia Duals and a fine tuning for those wresting freestyle/greco before your big events. The camp will go from 9-5 where he will have sessions of freestyle, greco, folkstyle, then afternoon live goes. Hope to see you soon!

These are the guys I have as interested in wrestling in the militia duals. If you are not on this list and want to be, please email me at egoff08@gmail.com. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!! You will not get the practices, summer t-shirt, or be allowed to wrestle in either the militia duals or the north east ga summer league if you are not signed up for the "Summer Season." You can still register individually for Coach Lester's camp by mailing the payment to the address on his flyer. A link to register for the Roswell Summer Season will be on the right side of the blog. If you sign up for the summer season, your entry for Coach Lesters camp will be paid by us, so you do not need to register. You need to fill out the Summer Season registration form and give it to me at school or mail to me in addition with your checks made out to RHS Takedown Club. It is located at the top/right of the varsity blogsite www.roswellwrestling.blogspot.com. My address is 11220 Cicero Drive, Alpharetta GA 30022. Remember, we will be doing a fundraiser near the end of spring to make much of this season fee back so you will be re-imbursed so-to-speak. You must register though by May 1st if you want to take part in all Roswell Summer Wrestling activities!

Coach Randy Faires
We've been constantly trying to improve information and updates about our team and coaches. We've received a newspaper clipping from 1966 which highlights Coach Randy's High School career.
