Ryan fought through his weight class and took first place at the Dixie Nationals today at the World Congress Center.

Great turn out at Winter break camp

We had several of our young wrestlers that attended this camp. This was a great 3 days and they met the current Heavy weight Greco Champ and got to train with Harry Lester. With a full house there was plenty of practice partners to trade off and learned a lot of new moves and wrestled with some of the best GA talent.

Jefferson New Year's Classic

The Jefferson New Year's Classic will be held January 2, 2009 at Jefferson High School.

If you are in town, we encourage you to enter your Wrestler. Jefferson does a very nice job in running tournaments and usually draws in some very excellent wreslters.

Dahlonega goldmine classic

Roswell strikes Gold at the goldmine classic. We had a good showing at Dahlonega. We placed in 7 weight classes and won 3 Gold medals. Outstanding showing for our wrestlers.

Updates

We have a lot going on so I want to make sure everyone is getting the word. We will be at Creekview High school this weekend. There is a tour of GA also this weekend where I will be if anyone wants to make that trip.

We won't be able to practice over the holidays so our kids still will need to condition and work hard, This year there are a lot more tournaments and beginners then I have ever seen. Don't forget to register early. If something comes up you can always pull out of that tournament and move to another later on. As long as you do this before 10 PM on Thursday.

Winter Break Wresling Camp

This Camp has Harry Lester and John Hanrahan.
This Camp will be held Dec 21,22 and 23. from 8:30 Am to Noon. The cost of this Camp is 59 dollars and I recommend to everyone to look into this. The camp will be held here at the Cooler.

Elementry Practiced canceled for Wednesday

Just wanted to remind everyone our normal Wednesday practice has been moved to Friday for our 8U and 10 u wrestlers.

Tournaments will close early for sign-ups.

Depending on how many mats are set up each tournament has a cut off number. If they reach this number they will close entries.
Sign up early.
Also we have a schedule on our website and it also has results of past tournaments.
Last if you have pictures of our wrestlers please send me copies via e-mail. We will get these on our sites for viewing.

Nice Showing for Jr Hornets

Our kids wrestled at Centennial Holiday Classic and had a great showing. We had 18 kids enter this tornament and we had 8 placers. We had 2 first place winners, 2 seconds, and 4 thirds. This is a good start for this season. We will be wrestling again next weekend at Dahlonega goldmine classic.
Congrats to all Roswell wrestlers.
